Color on clothes is one thing.
Color that applies on clothes while you wear them – this is something completely different.
This is the meta level transforming the act of wearing clothes into an arty performance – in the best case.

Pretty much like this idea.
Pretty much like what Diane posted about Jose Castro.

Pretty much reminds me of Martin Margiela:

The colored ice cube-chains and –bracelets of his Spring 2006-collection made you become a part of the creative process while wearing the outfit.

It was about creating, maintaining and displaying the result of this process all in one. Plus adding the aspect of transitoriness.

Now how colorful are you?

aber es scheint fast, als würde das französische Traditionshaus bald von einer britischen Brise aufgefrischt werden. Kris van Assche geht, Gareth Pugh kommt. Wenn's denn stimmt.

Sibling meets Bacon

Francis Bacon – Begriffe wie „grotesk“ und „verstörend“ kommen mir da in den Sinn.

Und, wenn ich an ihn selbst denke – die Lederjacke, die er immer trug.
Sie war sein Keypiece, bevor die Presse diesen furchtbaren Begriff überhaupt erfunden hatte.

Das britische Stricklabel Sibling hat in Anlehnung an seinen Look nun eine Lederjacke entworfen, die gar keine ist: Sie ist gestrickt und mit einer Glanzbeschichtung veredelt.

Am 7. April kommt eine Neuauflage des Romans auf den Markt. Katherine Wolkoff hat das Titelfoto gemacht und Megan Wilson das Cover designt.
Damit lass ich mich doch gern über das Ende der Narrenzeit hinwegtrösten...

Ich weiß ja nicht, ob es nur mir so geht - aber ich werde das Gefühl nicht los, dass viele Mensweardesigner für Fall/Winter 09 nicht aus der Reserve kommen. Da hat uns die Krise wohl fest im Griff...

Umso besser, dass es Leute wie Austin Sherbanenko gibt.

Der lebt in Los Angeles und nennt sein Label ganz schamanisch-untypisch L.A.:

Odyn Vovk [ sprich: oh-din va•hk].

Und das bedeutet: Ein Wolf.

Vor kurzem hat er in NY seine zweite Menswearlinie gezeigt - ein Traum, was meint Ihr?
